Newspaper Nails
Here are some pictures of my newspaper nail art. I experimented with a number of solutions to transfer the ink, and ended up going with Windex of all things! Here are some items I tried in the order of preference:
Almond Extract-this worked really well but I opted for the cheaper alternative
70% rubbing alcohol-this would have been my third choice
Lemon Extract-this was not bad
Soju-which is a Korean liquor-results were about the same as the lemon extract
Perfume-this was okay
Vinegar-did not work very well
On top of experiencing with solutions, I tried printing a mirrored image from an inkjet printer so the design would not be backwards but that didn't transfer very well. :-(

Bold Cupcake Nails
I decided to do cupcake nails. I'm not sure if I like the choice of colors though. It probably would have looked better with softer pastel colors. It was my first time using acrylic paint on nails, so I wasn't sure how it would go. Oh well, there's always next weekend! Here's what I used:
Base Coat-China Glaze First and Last
Zoya in Penelope
Oumaxi Acrylic Paints
Sally Hansen Top Coat

Matte Nail Art
I've been seeing a lot of people do black matte nails and wanted to give matte nail polish a try. Here's a twist to you traditional matte nail polish. I used:
NYC Skin Tight Denim
NYC Matte Me Crazy
Konad Plate M19 with White Special polish
Mash Plate 06 with Konad Black Special polish

Konad Pedicure
This weekend I wanted to try using Konad on my toes. It didn't go as smoothly as I anticipated but here's what I used:
Base coat-China Glaze First and Last
Base color: OPI Tulsa Tootsie Roll-A
Konad Special polish in White
Konad Top Coat
Konad plate M78
I must say, It was hard to "roll" the stamper on my tiny little toes. Since I missed a few spots, I covered it up with a yellow 3D nail sticker. :-)

Konad Nail Art
My base color for this design is OPI "All that razz-berry". I used Konad plate # M78 with white Konad special polish. I topped it off with Konad's top coat that I recently purchased. Surprisingly I really like this top coat. It's not too thick and leaves a nice shine.

Easter Nail Art
I used a pink pastel base by Orly (purchased from Sally's) for all of my nails and then drew the designs using my Nail Star Art pens purchased from eBay. The baby chick and bunny bow is from a fimo clay rod that was sliced and glued to my nails.
